Sasa College of Industrial Design (SCiD), Uganda's premier product design school, is proud to introduce one of its first cohort innovation: POSSIBLE: World of Mindsets, a board and card game designed to foster mindset change. This game is the brainchild of Jasper Ndyamuhaki, a graduate and now administrator at SCiD, exemplifying the school's dedication to teaching design from first principles.

POSSIBLE: World of Mindsets tackles the challenge of making the teaching of behaviour change concepts engaging and effective. The game educates players about the growth and fixed mindsets, concepts developed by Dr. Carol Dweck, through interactive and reflective gameplay. Players pick cards, roll dice, and move their counters on the board based on their responses to real-life scenarios, learning to identify and adopt growth mindset approaches.

Dr. Dweck's research highlights that teaching growth mindset helps students become more persistent and resilient, leading to personal improvement and better academic performance. A growth mindset, the belief that abilities can be developed through effort and guidance, contrasts with a fixed mindset, the belief that abilities are static.

POSSIBLE: World of Mindsets makes learning these concepts fun and practical. By offering immediate feedback on mindset choices, the game encourages players to apply growth mindset strategies in their daily lives. Designed for 2 to 8 players, the game's board features multiple pathways leading to a central endpoint, with players advancing based on reflection points and scenario cards.
