About the Program
This program looks to build Uganda’s Industrialization, implemented in two ways, one is through skilling local artisans who are already producing items to elevate their skills so they can now be able to produce products that can compete favourably on the international market. The other is a scholarship for a Diploma in Industrial Design, students have access to full time residence at our campus in Busiika.
Initiated by SASA College of Industrial Design in partnership with the Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation, the Human Capital Development Program addresses a major challenge for Uganda’s workforce.
The visit highlighted the remarkable creativity, resilience, and talent already thriving across Uganda, while showcasing how design can unlock new economic opportunities for the country.
